We also use only highest quality materials for the clock's accessories such as dial, pendulum, weight-shell, etc. For the clock case, we use selected Teak and Mahogany wood which have been oven-dried so that it is dry and solid. Our wood finishing also is exemplary and can be proven by our loyal customer itself. Yes, Floor Clock produced by Sinar Djakarta has an intricate Indonesian wood carving style. Furthermore all our products are hand-made so each clock is unique and different from the other even thought they are the same models.

Can Sinar Djakarta's Floor Clock be exported to other countries?

Yes, we deliver our Clock according to customer's request. We have sent our products to Malaysia, India, Myanmar, Philiphine and many others. All of them arrived in good condition as we packed them properly.

How many types of Sinar Djakarta's Floor Clock are produced?

We produce 2 types of Floor Clock, which are GrandFather Clock (for the big size) and GrandDaughter Clock (for the small size). Currently, we have 40 models on our list and the list is ever-growing since we follow the trend in the furniture industry. Each clock is unique on its own because they are hand-made with a beautiful craftmanship.

Why are there cheaper Grandfather/Floor Clocks out there?

A :

As explained previously, Floor Clock consists of two main components which are the movement and casing. Cheaper Floor Clocks use clock movement and accessories which are not original. These components can be easily corroded and start to discolor in 3-6 months. Cheaper Clocks may also use a "Quartz" Movement which are battery operated. Furthermore, cheaper Floor Clock's case may use teak and mahogany wood mix or use lower quality teak or mahogany woods and have not been oven-dried. This can cause cracks or even damage after a shortwhile.
